Hello and welcome to Bold Moves Studio! I’m so glad you are here and I hope you have a bit of time to browse around. My name is Shannon Fitzgerald, I Founded Bold Moves Studio, in 2014 to organize my creative offerings. Those offerings have changed over the years as I have grown and changed and my creative focus has evolved. If you scroll down through the photos below you will see a photo history of some of the many things I have done here at Bold Moves Studio.

My creative life began in childhood, and my inner child still thrills at making and creating! My first discoveries of that joy came in a variety of activities; in making jewelry out of metal scraps in my Dad’s garage, spin art at the school carnival, sewing doll clothes by hand, drawing and creating an animal from the shape of each letter of the alphabet, making homemade kites with my family, as well as taking my first oil painting classes. I have a passion for making, creating, and painting to this day.

The other constant in my life is teaching. I’ll never forget the summer my younger sister was 6 and had just finished Kindergarten, she was behind the other students, I spent the summer break teaching her to read and write her name and her ABCs. I really enjoyed watching her grasp what she was learning and have fun while doing it! I have continued teaching since then in many different venues; always finding joy in the experience. Besides having been an Elementary School classroom teacher in grades 3 & 4, I’ve taught preschool, sewing for adults at the community college, expressive art activities to preschoolers, tutored 1st to 3rd grade at risk learners in Reading and Writing, visited Elementary schools across the US speaking to students as an Author and Illustrator, and of course facilitating SoulCollage® and other Creative Playshops in my studio and online.

I am a lifelong learner with certifications in a variety of areas beyond public school teacher; Plant Based Nutrition, Reiki energy healing, Quantum Crystalline Energy Healing, SoulCollage® Facilitation, 3 years of study of The Medicine Wheel of the Quero of Peru and Shamanism, End of Life Companion. I practice ceremony and ritual for healing myself or in consultation for others and to lead a balanced life. These practices and experiencestogether deepen my teaching and creativity. I am a published author, a photographer, and artist. When I’m not in my studio, I love to read, garden, learn new Origami designs, Snail Mail, and spend time with my family in my spare time. I have interests in Astrology, the Moon, the Labyrinth and Tarot. I hope to meet you in my studio one day. Come out and play!
